MCH&HS Introduces New Specialty and Doctor
BLAIR, Neb. – Memorial Community Hospital & Health System Administration is pleased to announce that Douglas J. Ramos, M.D. will be joining the Consulting Medical Staff on December 9. Dr. Ramos specializes in Plastic Surgery with an interest in Dermatology and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Ramos received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Cornell College (Mount Vernon, IA) in 1977. He completed medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1981. Furthering his studies he completed his Internship at Creighton. He began his first year of Residency at Creighton then completed his final three years at Tuffs University (Boston, MA); during which time he spent a year as Chief Resident. Dr. Ramos was then a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). After his research he completed a Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Harvard University.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and Plastic Surgery and is a member of American Society of Plastic Surgery and American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery; a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Ramos will be providing a number of services through the MCH&HS Specialty Clinic and Procedure Center, including the following:

· Skin Cancer or Growths
· Mastectomy Reconstruction
· Tumescent Liposuction
· Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
· Trauma Cases that Need Plastic Reconstruction
· Varicose Veins
· Repair or Closure of Chronic Wounds
· Decubitus Ulcre (Bed Sore) Debridement
