Emergency Department
Memorial Community Hospital's Emergency Department is staffed
24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our staff maintain certifications
in adult critical care, pediatric critical care, and neonatal
critical care. Trauma care and stabilization is also part
of our commitment to our community. We work closely with
the trauma system in Omaha to coordinate and provide the
best care for our customers. This includes the
involvement
of LifeNet helicopter which can land at our state-of-the-art
Helipad.
We also maintain a
close working relationship with local Rescue Squads and
ambulance providers. We have a new CT Scan available 24
hours a day as well as other X-ray and laboratory services.
Our customers with emergencies can feel confident being
cared for at Memorial Community Hospital's Emergency Department.
Memorial Community Hospital continues to have the lowest wait times of any emergency department in the Omaha area.
As part of MCH's new building and renovation project, scheduled for completion in 2009, a new emergency department is being build. It will have two trauma bays, four private patient rooms, an area for EMS to work from,
an ambulance bay with a canopy, and a decontamination room. It will also feature a refreshment area for family members in the waiting room and a consultation room for privacy with chaplains or if families need to get together in a quiet place for discussion
