Burt-Washington Home
Health and Hospice
At Burt-Washington Home Health and Hospice, a part of Memorial
Community Hospital and Health System, we know that when
you or one of your loved ones is ill or injured, there's
no place you'd rather be than in your home. Because we understand
these feelings, our caring staff of professionals works
hard to make it possible.
Home Health Care is available to anyone of any age or diagnosis.
However, the patient's physician must authorize the service.
We see patients in all stages of illness - from the young
adult to the senior citizen. Our goal is to help patients
regain function and resume prior activities.
Services offered include: skilled nursing, physical, occupational
and speech therapy, medical social services, home health
aides to assist with personal care needs.
Hospice Services
Burt-Washington Hospice provides for the physical, emotional
and spiritual needs of patients and families in the final
stages of an incurable illness. The focus of the program
is on comfort, controlling symptoms and quality of life,
rather than aggressive disease management.
We offer a full range of services, including nursing care,
counseling, medications, assistance in obtaining equipment
and much more. Trained volunteers play an integral role
in care that is given to both patients and their families
as they face end-of-life issues.
