Physical Rehabilitation
Services
MCH Rehabilitation Services is dedicated to providing comprehensive
physical and occupational therapy services. The professional
team of therapists work together to meet each patient's
individual rehab needs. There are currently 5 physical
therapists, 2 occupational therapists, contracted speech
therapists and a contracted massage therapist.
The department is located on the ground floor of the hospital.
Patients have
convenient parking that leads to the door of the department.
An outreach clinic is also located in Tekamah at the MCH
Cottonwood Clinic and services are provided through Burt/Washington
Home Health, a part of the MCH Health System.
Staff offers a broad spectrum of services including home
safety evaluations, wound care, employment screenings, spinal
assessments, foot orthotics, splinting for preventive and
post-surgical patients, hand and upper extremity rehab,
sports medicine, treatment for a variety of orthopedic muscular-skeletal
injuries or pain and dysfunction syndromes, and much more.
Staff also works with diabetics in establishing an exercise
program that can assist with regulating their diabetes.
A popular program sponsored by the department is a Senior
Strength Training program, offered Monday, Wednesday and
Friday from 9:00
to 9:30 a.m. This free class is open to
men and women looking to maintain their flexibility and
improve balance.
